Manufacturers open their doors to give students and the public an opportunity to visit and tour the facility and find out what it’s really like to work in manufacturing on October 5th, 2018, during the 6th annual Manufacturing Day.
The goal is to encourage the new workforce generation to join the manufacturing industry, which boasts new strides in technology and mobility.
Manufacturing Day, written as MFG DAY, was created by Founding Partner Fabricators and Manufacturers Association International, and is supported from many organizations that wish to positively change public perception of manufacturing in today’s age. National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is the current producer of MFG DAY, with the support of the Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) and Manufacturing Institute (MI). The National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) also played a key role in the growth of MFG DAY.
